REVIEW: Independence Day - Resurgence

I actually can't believe the original Independence Day is already 20 years, and it actually took Roland Emmerich 20 years to make a sequel to a beloved sci-fi alien invasion movie. However, is it any good? Not really.

Basically, Independence Day: Resurgence take place after the event of the original, where humanity is at peace globally and alien technology influenced human innovation. However, the aliens are lurking in the dark prepare to strike back and take revenge for the second time. This is pretty much the repeat of the first Independence Day plot in premise, only bigger in scale (literally) and more technological advanced, but the execution of the sequel pales in comparison in almost every single way.

First thing, the good of the movie, Jeff Goldblum. He's an incredible actor, and well-established in the acting arena as one of the good actors in the past and he still got it in Resurgence. He is the only actor in the movie that actually showed enthusiasm and fun to be a part of the movie. His comedic timing is perfect and most of the time him being the classic Goldblum is just fantastic.

Now, the bad ones. The movie is never fun, it was complete dull throughout. The sequel tried to grittier approach compared to the original, yet tried to keep the wittiness ended up being flat and incredibly boring through the entire run time. I had some laugh with some jokes and that's it! I never feel like cheering for humanity and the characters when they are taking on the alien invasion.

It seems like the charisma of Will Smith is really lacking here, as his character is replaced by his character's forgettable and sleep-inducing son (I don't even remember his name!). Besides him, even the former president is never engaging enough. Basically, almost every damn character besides Jeff Goldblum ones felt extremely flat.

The plot, what do I say about this? As the plot of the first movie was extremely dumb, I can't really criticise Resurgence being dumb, that would counter my own argument. However, the addition of [SPOILER ALERT, highlight the words to see it] another alien race to aid the Earth is incredibly dumb. Independence Day is about the celebration of humanity's strength against foreign foes, that's the lesson, adding another alien race just dampens the mood. Not to mention the ending, of wanting to setup another sequel really makes me groan. Hollywood, please, focus one movie at a time!!!

In conclusion, the original Independence Day was dumb but it was exciting and fun to watch. The sequel, however, is just as dumb but it lacks the charm and fun, it was an incredibly boring and joyless. It was not really terrible, but not really decent either. REVIEW: Hitman - Agent 47

I'm hired and given a target, a man with good public reputation but with shadowy ties with mobsters. He is wealthy and well protected from threats, by staying in his villa with security guards, with beefed up alarm & intrusion system. I wander outside the villa for 10/15 minutes, finding ways to exploit the security by shutting it down, or simply avoiding it altogether. When I'm inside the villa, I can either finish off the target by doing it point blank range, or finding possible options to make the assassination looks like an accident, no one would notice a killer's presence. I see the man is preparing to swim, I make wiring leak near the pool and leave the scene soon after. Mission success, no one notice me at all.

That's the joy of playing Hitman franchise's games. You are an assassin, codenamed Agent 47, who is brutal, cold and calculated at assassinate targets given. Agent 47 is able to infiltrate and assassinate targets before anyone notice what is happening, by exploiting the number of options given. The feeling of finishing a mission with the highest score possible with any detection is really satisfying. Same can't be said for its latest movie adaption, Hitman: Agent 47.

Hitman: Agent 47 is adaptation of the Hitman video game franchise and is directed by Aleksander Bach. It starred Rupert Friend as the title character, Hanna Ware and Zachary Quinto. The story tells Agent 47 teams up with a woman to help her find her father and uncover the mysteries of her ancestry. Together, they aim to take down the leader of Syndicate International, a terrorist group based in Singapore.This is the director best work yet (sarcasm, just look at IMDB, I'm not wrong). The plot tries to be smart and it fails big time, it doesn't have any good sense and it feels dumb. When the movie promotional video, features how the director and producers trying to exploit Singapore's architecture landscape before any other Hollywood production without a slight mention to the franchise backstory, it is a red flag.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed certain part of the action sequences, for example when Agent 47 and Katia trying to get out of Changi Airport undetected, it was a glimpse of Hitman. However, my God, it is a pointless, gung-ho, shoot'em up movie that has very little resemblance to the Agent 47 we know. Aleksander Bach must be given the game to try to understand the game, but he ended up getting detected by every security guards and police possible and went all shootout with the authorities, because that what the movie feels like. At one of the scene, Agent 47 teaches Katia van Dees (Hannah Ware) on how to take on a group of Syndicate forces (the antagonist's organisation), by going head on and kill everyone they see. FOR GOD'S SAKE! AGENT 47 IS A SILENT ASSASSIN! NOT A TERMINATOR!!!

I am also very disappointed with Zachary Quinto. I am a big fan of his work since Heroes and Star Trek and his portrayal of henchman John Smith is his weakest work yet. It might be down to script issues with his characters and the possibility of him not suitable being a henchman for a villain. Not to mention that a lot of his stunts felt forced and fake-ish. Not only his stunts feel fake, a lot of the actors' action sequences are obviously done by stuntmen. The random mashup of different cuts are trying to hide the stuntmen, but it is still visible at times.

Then, it comes to the special effects. Sigh..., where do I start?! This could be one of the worst visual effects of 2015. The scene where Agent 47 driving down the car park, got chased by a bunch of henchmen on motorcycle is as fake as WWE's fight. When the car hits the motorcyclist, you can obviously spot the image being superimposed together without feeling natural. John Smith's Mercedes hit the barriers is worse than the games on my PlayStation. These are just two scenes of many.

In the year where we have two brilliant action movie in Mad Max: Fury Road and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Hitman: Agent 47 is against the odds from the start. However, Hitman: Agent 47 not only failed on being decent enough movie, it fails to be faithful to the source material. When the first failed Hitman adaptation being better than the new ones, it is clearly an incredibly bad movie. This add up with horrible special effects, just made the movie from bad to worse. Things are not looking good for video game adaptations. I haven't watched Fantastic Four and Pixels yet, but so far, Hitman: Agent 47 is the worst movie of 2015.

I'm not Anti-Apple, but that doesn't mean Apple must be good

I have been asked many times regarding my stances whenever there's a conversation about tech, for example: "Why so anti-Apple?", "Why all the negativity about Apple?", "You’ve always been an Android fan,” and many more. All these questions and statements come from my family, relatives, friends and even on social media. I wanna take this opportunity on this post and said, “NO, I am not anti-Apple.”

I think the assumption was made probably because when people asked my tips on what smartphone I would recommend to them, I recommend them go for Android smartphones rather than the iPhone. There’re reasons to that, I would love to go through that.

On why people ask why I always recommend them Android phones, it is because they tend to start with “what phones have good specifications that you think is good?” This will gives me an impression that you want a phone with a good camera, speakers, top of the line processors and memory. In that case, I choose Android 10 out of 10 times, because it’s what they asked for. Apple isn’t and won’t be in contender for best performance, what they offer is software, the system inside it. If you ask me on which phone I would recommend if you want the ease of use and smoothness, or unified softwares across the iOS platform, iPhone is the choice.

I am not an anti-Apple, anti-Android, anti-Windows Phone kind of guy. Yes, I do prefer Android, but I would recommend any good phones to anyone, based on their preferences. I understand there are always people with different needs and wants in their life, smartphone is no exception.

Apple is a great brand, I admit. They have been building great software with a decent hardware. The iOS of iPhones and iPads have been great, with great smoothness, almost lag-free experience and easy to pick up and use. With the closed system of the OS, it’s really easy to transfer content from device to device in Apple’s ecosystem. I was impressed and like the iPhone 3GS and 4 and even the the lastest iPod Touch. Not to mention that the Mac line-up is incredible as well, the great looks of Mac OS and ease of integration between iOS and Mac is useful as well (Microsoft, learn from this!).

But iPhone won’t be good for those who are after specifications. The processor is not the fastest, not enough memory to stack up against the big boys. Heck, I won’t recommend iPhone for camera until iPhone 5. The closed system of iOS is one of the big flaws as well, the use of App Store or iTunes is a must by default, there’s no other option for the users, no competition, and it’s hard to get apps at an affordable price for iOS.

Another problem with Apple is that they overhype things too much. Sure, it works, but ever since the late Steve Jobs left the company, many of the news seems meh for now. The iPhone 5 lacks the 'WoW' factor of iPhones, the 4th iteration is just pure milking of the iPad brand. The decision to dump Google Map as the go-to map application for iOS for the disastrous Apple Maps didn’t help the cause either. The recently iOS 7 unveiling is more like a been there, done that from other companies.

You could say that Android is my go-to OS. I admit that, I love Android. Why? Because in Android, is all about flexibility, and I love that. You could use Android phones as everyday phone, to power user where you can manage a whole lot of tiny details inside the phone. Android is open source software, means that phone makers can use it with their own customisation, and it’s competitive too. Vendors like Samsung, HTC, Sony, Huawei, Motorola and others to keep competing to get the most out of the software and make a good hardware. With an open system, you can get content anywhere you like, don’t like Google Play Store, get it from Amazon or any similar stores.

The worst thing of Android could also be the best thing of Android, the open source. This leads to uncontrollable fragmentations of the Android ecosystem, I could say that there are hundreds of thousands of cheap phones and cheap knockoffs of famous brands available in China right now, running Android. There’s so many customisations done to different phones on the market, so updates and after sales services are poor on phones with lower price point. With those big vendors keep slapping their own skin on top of the OS, the experience can be ruined as well. Only phones with Nexus brand and Google Play Edition (the recently relaunched HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4) can be considered as pure Android experience.

Lastly, it’s the Windows Phone. Now in the new iteration of Windows Phone 8, Microsoft is looking more and more serious as a contender for mobile market. Windows Phone is more between Android and iOS, with customisation and some closed system security. Windows Phone have been set up a range of specs developers can work on, this means even the lower spec-ed Windows Phone can run smoothly on many of the apps. And the sleek and flat UI is extremely attractive too. I only have test drives of Windows Phone devices, and I can say the Windows Phone has the potential to be a big player.

The partnership between Nokia and Microsoft for Windows Phone seems to have paid off too. I previously doubted it, but I was wrong. With Nokia, Windows Phone have a brand new opportunity to break into new market faster, particularly Asia, where Nokia has a strong brand presence. And Nokia has the best camera for phone without a doubt, the camera quality of Nokia Lumia 920 is top notch!

Flaws? Well, right now the apps ecosystem of Windows Phone is still lacking, so apps and games is less than what Android and Apple offered. It's a short experience of the Windows Phone for me, so not much to criticise yet.

In the end, Apple is great! But that doesn't mean I like it, and I won't totally shun Apple because they still offer great stuffs and advantages over its rivals, but I admit that there are obvious flaws from all three systems. So, don't call me Anti-Apple, I'm open to everything.

Driver is the Problem, Not the Car!

The automobile industry is different now, with global warming and the increases in fuel prices. Automobile industry has no choice but try to innovate by using an alternative mode of powering the car like Hybrid engines, plug-ins, Hydrogen cars, reducing weight of the car by trying lighter materials or even longer mileage and fuel saving tires.

One of the most common sight of eco cars right now are Hybrid cars. Hybrid cars are usually powered by a normal combustion engine and with an electric motor assist, which are really economical and low on carbon dioxide emission, which is a good thing for the Earth and the wallets of the drivers. Even on Malaysian roads, Hybrids are popular as well, they usually make up by several car models, Toyota Prius, PriusC, Honda Civic Hybrid, Jazz Hybrid and the sporty looking CR-Z.

But I have heard from hybrid car drivers complaining about the cars themselves are not very economical as they promised and advertised, which they feel like it's a rip-off. I couldn't believe them at first, but after driving around the town observing how hybrid drivers drive, I have three possible hypothesis:

1. The hybrid car is really not as economical as they promised.
2. There are problems with the car itself
3. Malaysian drivers are driving like cocks!

Sorry for the harsh word, I couldn't hide my feelings, but what I said is true, Malaysians are driving like maniacs!

What I found it hard to believe it, but it's true. Hybrid cars are designed as fuel-saving economical cars to drive around the city, what I see is people use them as a normal car. For a typical road users here, driving normally is like braking when the car is very close to the car in front, accelerating hard along the highway and swerving left and right.

These driving will result in lower fuel economy, that's for sure. But don't complain that it's the car is not what it was promised! This not only applies to hybrid cars, but cars in general. Don't change cars because you find petrol is expensive, change your driving style, a smooth driving driver will save a lot of fuel than aggressive drivers. I tested before, I drove around the city smoothly with my 1.6L Proton Waja for a few days. After that, calculated the mileage, fuel up petrol and drove around the city in the same travel period and same condition, but this time drove aggressively. I found out if I drive smoothly, I can squeeze out almost 100 km more mileages than aggressive driving in my Waja.

If you still not convinced, watch the video below by automotive entertainment show, Top Gear, in which Jeremy Clarkson tested out the same theory. The first-half of the video is humourous, I admit, but the second half he is absolutely spot on!!

In general, look at yourself before complaining about the car, it might be your own problem!

Nokia & Microsoft join forces, Brilliant or Utterly Stupidity?

Remember those days when everyone around you has a Nokia phone? Those were the days, now the future of Nokia is could be worse.

Last week, Nokia and Microsoft announced partnership on their mobile platform, which quickly drew mixed reactions from the mobile tech world. Some said it was a good decision, but most said it is stupid. Even some said that Microsoft had sent a trojan horse, current Nokia CEO Stephen Elop (former Microsoft director) to sabotage and buy Nokia.

Although Nokia is still the best seller of 2010, it is quickly caught up by Apple's iPhone and Google's Android phones, so all Nokia did was pact up with Microsoft, using Windows Phone 7 and dump their popular Symbian completely.

For me, it is Goodbye for Nokia right now. Here's why:

• Windows Phone 7 is a limited and flawed platform

Windows Phone 7, which is technically a big step forward from Microsoft's previous effort, the Windows Mobile. But the OS is still severed by "several" drawbacks (or limitation):

No system-wide file manager

No Bluetooth file transfers

No USB mass storage mode

Limited third-party apps availability

No Flash (nor Silverlight) support in the browser

Too dependent on Zune software for file management and syncing

No video calls

New ringtones available only through the Marketplace

Music player lacks equalizer presets

No multitasking

No copy/paste

No DivX/XviD video support (automatic transcoding provided by Zune software)

No sign of free Bing maps Navigation so far

No internet tethering support

No handwriting recognition support

This has put Nokia is a very bad situation, WP7 is untested and severely limited platform.

• Symbian is great but only flawed

Symbian is a very good OS, used by Nokia since the early 2000s, it is still one of the most popular and friendly OS in the market. But Symbian hasn't aged quite well, the Symbian on Nokia touchscreen phones are horrid. It is outdated that makes Symbian less competitive to Android and iOS, not poor platform at all. If Nokia put in more effort redevelop the Symbian, it could be a powerhouse yet again in the smartphone market.

What do they do now? Shove Symbian completely and adopt WP7 as their primary platform. This makes Nokia no longer the vertically integrated supplier, building hardware, software, and online services, to just another handset builder, like HTC, Samsung or others.

• Nokia phones still have the "unappealing to the public" design

Nokia phones generally have the same looks over the years, square-ish, blocky, sometimes even ugly. Some are striking, yes, but most of them are just really meh or yucks! For example, my Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic, the one with slide out QWERTY keyboard, is very unique when putting between my friends' phones, but oh my gawd!! Boy, it's ugly!!! It looks like a big black brick! If Nokia needs to change, change the looks too!!!

• Lack of marketing hurts!

Nokia still think they are back in the 90s or early 2000s, back when they were a dominant company, with little marketing, the company can be successful. Forward to the world of today, the market has changed, now we have Apple, HTC, Samsung, LG, Acer, Motorola (they are back), Sony Ericsson and more. The landscape has changed, consumer nowadays have even more choices than before. With Apple and Google quickly becoming the "it" in the mobile market, Nokia must ramp up their marketing...


Life is tough ahead for Nokia, with the market share and stock tumbling. Nokia is no longer the best of the bunch, more should be done rather than switching to Windows Phone 7 and losing identity in the process...

Delay?!?!

Yep, I'm back again... Another broken promise that I will be active on this blog again. Sorry for that, but you need to blame my time and Facebook for that, because Facebook status update is so easy to show that what am I doing right now...

Okay back to the topic, the delay... You know that my most anticipated game in recent years? Gran Turismo 5? Remember that? I have so many post about the game and I can really put it under a new category on my blog, because I just can't wait for that...

 You know what? Few days ago Sony in Japan announced that the game will be delayed for the time being.... What the F*** was that?!?! 2 weeks away from the launch and you said you're not ready?!?!

Apparently, many more fans that are crazier than me began to call Sony or make up speculation about what had happened. According to Sony, they are unable to meet the demand of consumers (not enough copies ready) and the game missed the Blu-ray production window. But other speculation is Sony is preparing to update PS3 to newer software along with the launch to curb hackers for the system and even some say they want to avoid the busy and packed November...

No matter what, I still want that game badly...!!!

Is Music Industry on the Decline in terms of Sales and Quality?

It really makes me wonder, is the music industry is going downhill, not just in terms of sales as we know it, but also suffer from quality issues. I say that because the new decades is underwhelming compared to 2000s, 1990s and 1980s...

First, let's see the sales perspective. Music is one of the big three in Hollywood, including movies and video games, and make a bucket load of money for the industry alone. And like any other form of entertainment, music suffers from the rise of computers and Internet. As we all know, all are suffering from the piracy issues, but music suffers the worst among the three.

Piracy can hurt billions of dollars in all stuffs, ie movies, music, games, books, gadget, you name it. But why music is the worst of all? Music don't have any special anti-piracy software to curb the increasing piracy. Movies have Blu-ray installed with special DRM that makes it hard for people to hack into and burn into a Blu-ray disc, although that doesn't stop piracy, but with the quality have to be down-scaled to DVD quality and time consuming, it does slow those pirates down. Video Games have several methods: online authentication, always online to ensure it is genuine and the harshest method, lock down your whole system down so you can't play it. Music is ridiculously easy to pirate, pop the disc into a PC, click rip and upload to sharing sites.

Besides piracy, people buy music no more. Since the born of Internet store and Internet radio, people are less likely to buy a whole album. Take iTunes for example, when you listen something nice on the radio, you go to the iTunes store and download that certain song, instead of the whole album. Some stream the song instead of download it. Album sales in the past can reach tens of millions during their lifetime, now they are just a fraction of the number. For example, 2010 most critically received and the biggest debut so far, Eminem's new album Recovery first week sales was under 800k, while the past he can sell millions in a week (others artists included)

Quality side, I do see a decline as well. I have a lot of 2010 songs in my Windows Media Library, but most of the time I still scrolling down the year, 2009 and before, to click and listen instead of 2010 playlists. I also play a lot of past years songs on my phone and iPod instead of 2010. Don't be mistaken, I still love 2010 songs, but the number of "favourites" list are significantly less compared to 2009. Some artists took a eternally long hiatus to make their new album and still don't see a new release since 2006 (Justin Timberlake focus on others instead of his music), artists' comeback that is disappointing (Christina Aguilera new album, Bionic is disappointing after few years of anticipations and compared to her Jazz entry, Back to Basics) and some even come out a few years and never heard of them ever again.

So, in conclusion. I think the music industry's effort this year is lacking the spark of creativity and face tough battle against music purchase and piracy people choose. Artists these days makes more money on tour rather than on album sales, no wonder the concerts are getting more and more these days...

This is the Future

Yes, it's a car

Wait... Don't close this blog, don't think "It's just another Petrolhead topic".... I mean it, this might be the most important innovation for the next century.

Why you ask this is the most important car for the future. Well, this car might be the solution to replace our petrol, really. As we all know that petrol supplies will come to an end eventually and we (human) are gas guzzlers, using fuel even for switching on the lights. If petrol really runs out, the world will be halted and nothing will move.

This car, the Honda FCX Clarity is powered by hydrogen, the most abundant element of the universe, it will never run out. It is dangerous, but they have found a way to contain the hydrogen and not making it explode, it's already two years it came out, yet no accidents have been reported as of today.

You might ask, "Why not use a Hybrid or an electric car?". The answer is Hybrid cars still use petrol and got carbon emission. "Electric car is zero carbon dioxide, why not use electric cars?" Electric cars is still a very weak solution, you can only drive for a bit more than 40 miles and the next thing you know is the car stopped on its track and will take 3-5 hours to really fully charged up and go for another 40 miles. Do you want to be restricted to that range? I don't think so. Besides, where are all those electricity comes from? Power Plant, and those power plants largely use fuel as well, not a very smart idea. The FCX operate just like a petrol car, you fill up the tank, drive like 400-500 km and stop at a Hydrogen pumps station and fill up again for another 500 km of journey, and it is zero emission, it produce the stuff we use everyday, H2O (water). How great was that!!!

It might be scarce at the moment, but this technology is backed by the US government, especially the governator, who is a very "green" man (no, not the Hulk). Currently, Honda leases out cars to residents of California as an experiment to tested out the technology and Californian Government set up hydrogen station around the state to help the experiment as well. If the car test really go well, it might be the solution for the future of motoring, we can drive car for another century. Petrol replace horse, and now this can replace petrol, who can finally deserve a retirement.

Do American Got It Right?

Well, the semi-final is over for good, now American Idol moves on to the Top 12... Let's see whether the four contestants eliminated are worth to be kicked:

Katelyn Epperly
A decent contestant yet inconsistant, Katelyn at least showed once she deserved in the Top 12. Yet, she is kicked when placed alongside Paige Miles. When she stood alongside Paige Miles, I said to myself Katelyn is so lucky, she would be going through... I was shocked when she is voted of instead of Paige. Paige Miles, who judges think has a very good voice, consistently lacking behind the whole competition. In singing competition, singing songs that are true to your voice is the key, or change the tune to match your voice, not choose some of your favourite song that you can't relate to. Her rendition of 'Smile' is not on the verge of terrible, it is terrible... Big sympathy for Katelyn, seriously.

Lilly Scott
A very solid front runner but got voted off. It was actually very weird to see her and Katie Stevens standing together, but when they are standing together, I think Katie is going to get through. Katie got advantages because she is a good singer (but haven't got that potential yet), good looks and really young. But why I would pick Lilly Scott instead of her? Because she is much more experience than Katie. Katie for me, she would be like any other 17 years old in the competition, lacking experiences and guts to take on the competition.

Todrick Hall
A overly confident and risky contestant. Todrick changed too much on his first two performances and alienated the audience and his 3rd last performance was unable to save him from elimination.

Alex Lambert
I like his voice, seriously good. Style and voice like James Morrison is very unique in the competition and among all the boys, he deserve to be in the Top 12. Unlike Tim Urban, who has been save by his last performance and his good looks, he could be this year Jason Castro.

What I want from Transformers 3...

Well, I love Transformers motion picture, I really do, with amazing CGI and awesome action sequences. But even giving 4.5/5 for the sequel, Revenge of the Fallen, I think the movie is really a failure. Because I'm for the works of people at Industrial Light & Magic (kudos to them), without giving actual ratings on other stuffs.

With Transformers 3 announced to be released in July 4th, 2011, director Michael Bay can make even better with certain point I want Transformers to change as of below:

• Better story line - Come on, the story is really, I mean REALLY! Abysmal to look at. I never seen a mega blockbuster earning $800 million worldwide had such a horrible storyline. It features no developments and no emotional at all(I don't care at emotion but critics' review is can influence the mind of the audience). Even with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the pair behind the highly praised 2009 Star Trek can't make a story decent enough, the Revenge of the Fallen failed in storyline in a big way.

• Kill Megan Fox's ccharacter Mikaela early in the movie - She's sexy, I admit, but she just ruined the host lead actress thingy, she is boring, bad acting, unfunny, and rude. Come on, many actress can do that and beat her easily. When I said to my friends during a conversation about Transformers, I said I want her dead in the sequel, some agreed, some don't. For those who don't, are you so desperate for a sexy girl? You can watch some chick flicks or even sit at Borders Bookstore and read FHM or Galaxie and you can find even more sexy girls, or even sexier than Megan Fox.

• No more jokes with sexual suggestions - I mean it... For a movie to attract general audience, the jokes of the movie, especially Revenge of the Fallen, had stepped over the limit. Many parents and cinema goers, including me, will not take children to the cinema to watch it because of sexual suggested contents inside. If I'm the parents and plan to watch it with my children at the cinema, I would have scrapped the plans if the reviews of the movie has 8 complain about the sexual content out of 10. Even you put it on a male robot humping on female and show its testicles hanging around, Michael Bay in the end defended the film because the audiences are mostly 20s man. If a man crazy in this kind of stuff, he would rather watch pornography right? Who needs it in a blockbuster?

• Use common sense DUDE!!! - Ya, I know this might be controversial but this is error is too big to ignore it, it is minor problem but it is a bit stupid. After all those Autobots and Decepticons fighting at the city in the first one, how come everyone don't know their existences after all those damages? Another US government conspiracy? It is a bit too huge to hide from the public eyes... During the 2 years in the story time line , no one has ever capture a full video or a full photo of the robots. They have, but they only captured the feet of the robots after the whopping 2 years!!!

These suggestions above could be rejected by people, but I think that is what I think Transformers (especially Revenge of the Fallen) is lacking. I hope Michael Bay make at least some of the changes and make the movie more epic.

It's over!!!

It's finally over!!! The trials is finally gone!!! I just wondering I can do it like a Jedi trials... hahaha!!!

But that ridiculously idiotic TGV refused to show it, even though it is a new movie released a week back... Don't they know what's new?!?! I don't wanna watch an unscary horror movie made from Singapore, the visuals and sound effects won't justify my 10 bucks!!!


Anyway, I am now relaxing in front of my PC, wondering got what new game for me to play... Need For Speed Shift, need download, but my PC said need 2 weeks for download. Are YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I need to go to Pacific now!!!


Tonight plan to watch a new movie downloaded from Internet, called "The Hurt Locker". This movie was highly acclaimed by critics, some even said one of the best movie ever made and Oscar potential... Interesting!!!

Twitter (2 to 200, damn close!!!)

Twitter, a new Internet phenomenon, which it has cutting down Facebook and MySpace dominance in the social network (not Friendster though, it looks dead to me). So what so special about this site that makes every celebrity and company in the whole wide world so crazy about.

In case you don't know, Twitter is micro blogging site where everyone tweet their messages and post it there. It is just like Facebook, without apps or other web pages. I am very curious why this concept is so well-received site, so I created an account (username: crasher7) and started using. After months of using, I think it is crap!!!

First of all, there's nothing. In Facebook or even Friendster, we can chat with friends, applications, online gaming all under one roof. In twitter, you can only post, bloody boring!

Another one is popularity counts!!! If you are a celebrity or politician or some other sensation, Twitter is the kind of thing you should have. You can post your recent updates for your fans and followers to see. If you are not popular at all, they won't follow you or see your latest postings, except you are showing nudity or sexual images on your profile...

So, in the end, Facebook is by far a better and far more superior social networking site. I like Twitter, but I just think that it needs more features, or else it is plain boring.

I'm finally back online, after weeks of disconnection... I hate Streamyx a lot, I hope Malaysians do something to deny the monopoly of TM, they just suck and suck and suck!!!

Running Out of Creativity?

I'm very sick of Chinese automakers already!!! Even before they make it to our country, but their car really sucks!!! Just a knockoff of cars made by popular automakers like BMW, Toyota, Honda, Porsche and even the classic Rolls-Royce.

I mean come on, can't they just make an original yet special car? Do they need to copy stuff? Come on, make something that can shock the world like Tata Nano.

Change the way you drive, not the car

During my grandma's birthday, my uncle told my dad that the latest Proton Saga with fuel economy only 7.2km/L, according to newspaper complain (I think Christopher know what I mean), but according to actual figure is more than 10km/L and a lot more... Everyone in Malaysia auto industry all know Proton Saga is a fuel efficient car.

Than I suddenly think of Top Gear, where the host, Jeremy Clarkson said Toyota Prius (hybrid) is not as fuel efficient as we all think. So, he put Toyota Prius in front with full acceleration and then with a BMW M3 Sedan (Sports car in short) follow the speed of the Prius, which the M3 doesn't need full acceleration. After doing 10 laps, they calculated the numbers. In the end, the Prius consumed more fuel than the powerful M3.

So the lesson, change the way you drive, not the car you drive. You want more? Here's the video to proof:

Are we going backwards on the evolution scale?

I mean seriously!!! Are we actually going backwards on the evolution scale? Come on, why we need Robot Supermodels that can catwalk like this one below?!


I know this is a technology achievement, but we (humans) can still do a catwalk during a fashion show. And still, do these robots look interesting, sexy and cute to you?!?! Think again!!! We still have a lot of beautiful women and good looking men in the whole wide world.

And one more crazy stuff happened during the press conference for this robot's introduction: The robot model already been harassed by the Japanese media and visitors to the press conference. WHAT THE F***?!?!?!?!

Hate MS Office!!!

I really hate all those bugs around Microsoft programs and OS. First, Vista and now the Office program.

I used it today, to finish some projects. The program started with installation... What the?!?! Then it told me to insert disc, you click No... Nothing happen...

When you click certain button, the language and spelling checker automatically changes to other language and then change back several times...

What is wrong with you guys, can't you make a proper software before launch it?!?!?! Make sure do it properly in Windows 7!!!

So many!!!

Well, Chinese New Year is over already... (How Sad) But, look at the Fridge... It got so much drinks for us, all those drinks left after CNY... Look below

Goodbye S2000

I really hate this car to be ceased from production sometime in 2009... It is nice car, suitable for anyone to drive, reliable, rear wheel drive, powerful and more and more!!! Even Er Jie likes the car when she saw it at Singapore Motorshow... Lets hope Honda make a new model rather than killing off the car...
