Thank You, My Chemical Romance

Just now, I've learned a sad news, one of my favourite bands, My Chemical Romance, has announced that they're splitting after 12 years together.

Goodbye
To me, part of my teenage years has just died. This band has given me some of the best songs during my high school, with hits like: Teenagers, Helena, Na Na Na, Planetary (Go!) and of course my favourite song of all time, Welcome to the Black Parade!

In his blog post at the band's official site, Gerard Way wrote:

"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure."

Hopefully, they still produce great songs and albums on their own after they split up, it's been great to hear those great music material from these guys over the years...

Before I go, here's the Famous Last Words...

Delay?!?!

Yep, I'm back again... Another broken promise that I will be active on this blog again. Sorry for that, but you need to blame my time and Facebook for that, because Facebook status update is so easy to show that what am I doing right now...

Okay back to the topic, the delay... You know that my most anticipated game in recent years? Gran Turismo 5? Remember that? I have so many post about the game and I can really put it under a new category on my blog, because I just can't wait for that...

You know what? Few days ago Sony in Japan announced that the game will be delayed for the time being.... What the F*** was that?!?! 2 weeks away from the launch and you said you're not ready?!?!

Apparently, many more fans that are crazier than me began to call Sony or make up speculation about what had happened. According to Sony, they are unable to meet the demand of consumers (not enough copies ready) and the game missed the Blu-ray production window. But other speculation is Sony is preparing to update PS3 to newer software along with the launch to curb hackers for the system and even some say they want to avoid the busy and packed November...

No matter what, I still want that game badly...!!!

GM Says 2011 Chevrolet Volt to get 230 mpg in City Driving (6 to 200)

If you've been wondering what is the number "230" that popped up as an annoying commercial in many places around the web the past few weeks, General Motors revealed today that it's the EPA city fuel economy rating of the forthcoming Chevrolet Volt. In particular, GM said that it expects the Volt extended-range electric vehicle to achieve at least 230 miles per gallon in city driving and a combined fuel economy rating of triple digits.

The fuel economy ratings are said to be based on a new methodology being developed by EPA specifically for plug-in electric vehicles. According to GM, the EPA methodology uses kilowatt hours per 100 miles traveled to define the electrical efficiency of plug-ins.

In the case of the Volt, GM said that its EV will consume as little as 25 kilowatt hours per 100 miles in city driving meaning with an average cost of 11 cents per kWh, a typical Volt driver in the US would pay around $2.75 for electricity to travel 100 miles, or less than 3 cents per mile

"From the data we've seen, many Chevy Volt drivers may be able to be in pure electric mode on a daily basis without having to use any gas," said GM Chief Executive Officer Fritz Henderson. "EPA labels are a yardstick for customers to compare the fuel efficiency of vehicles. So, a vehicle like the Volt that achieves a composite triple-digit fuel economy is a game-changer."

The Volt, which is scheduled to start production in late 2010 as a 2011 model, is expected to travel up to 40 miles (64 km) on electricity from a single battery charge and be able to extend its overall range to more than 300 miles (480km +) when the flex fuel-powered four-cylinder engine-generator kicks in.

"The key to high-mileage performance is for a Volt driver to plug into the electric grid at least once each day," Henderson said.

The Volt will also be available in Australia as a Holden and in Europe as the Opel / Vauxhall Ampera.

What Do Crasher Think:

The 230 miles per gallon = 97.7830527 kilometers / l figure is ridiculously fantastic, considering today's cars average are less than 20 km/l and the petroleum aren't here to stay. If you think of both of these terms, the Volt is maniac, saving fuel, less CO2 and money too!!!

Command & Conquer 4 (8 to 200)

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a very great game, combining classic gameplay and the new twist and adding cinematic movies into the mix. So do the rest of the series actually, Red Alert, Tiberium Dawn, Red Alert 2, Tiberium Sun and more recently Red Alert 3... Red Alert is actually a prequel to Tiberium Dawn, but the sequel Red Alert 2 and Tiberium Sun went to different path, Tiberium become much more "alien" if you know what I mean...

Next year there is a new one, the fourth and final chapter to Tiberium, with the bad guys holding the alien stuff and watch the trailer then... (It doesn't feel like a game, like a sci-fi movie)

Michael Jackson Memorial Service

How you pay tribute to a celebrity that just passed away? Through a memorial service of course... I watched Michael Jackson's memorial yesterday and I was sad and touched by the tribute speeches, singing and speeches from his family... His brother all wore his famous diamond glove during the Motown 25th Anniversary performance...

The show started with Mariah Carey singing Jackson 5's famous hit, I'll Be There, which was also Mariah's hit after she did the cover of the song. But I can't arranged the order of other appearances but I know there were Usher, Queen Latifah, Kobe Bryant, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer and etc. Brother Jermaine Jackson have the performance, singing smiles, one of Michael's favourite song. He broke down in tears, I understand and I feel sorry for the whole family's losses.

In the end, every celebrity joined the stage and started sing We Are The World with families and friends. The childrens then come up the stage and sing Heal The World...

The families stayed on stage and gave speeches about Michael, everyone that were giving speeches all cried before and while giving speeches. One particular speech that is the most moving of all is from Michael's daughter, stating 'Michael as the best dad and will miss him'... From that moment I got the feeling I wanted to cry because it is so moved and touched because his children never come out and appearing publicly giving speeches

Support Earth Hour

Our lovely planet Earth is in a very damaging state right now. The cause? Human Race, ever since the Industrial Revolution, most of our machinery, electricity and development produce Carbon Dioxide that pollutes our environment. This also blocks the heat being reflected out of the atmosphere and the world is heating up now (global warming), this melted ice from both poles and sea level keep rising.

This Saturday, March 28, please switch off everything light, every electricity in your house for 1 hour. To send a message to everyone that Earth is precious. Besides, turning off these stuffs for 1 hour together reduce a lot of carbon dioxide emission...

SUPPORT EARTH HOUR!!!!

REDMOND, WA UNITED STATES

New browser focuses on top customer needs, including security, ease of use and performance.

REDMOND, Wash., March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today Microsoft Corp. announced the availability of Windows Internet Explorer 8, the new Web browser that offers the best solution for how people use the Web today. It can be downloaded in 25 languages at http://www.microsoft.com/ie8 starting at noon EDT on March 19. Internet Explorer 8 is easier to use, faster and offers leading-edge security features in direct response to people's increasing concerns about online safety. A new study commissioned by Microsoft and the National Cyber Security Alliance and conducted by Harris Interactive Inc. shows that 91 percent of adults in the U.S. are concerned about online threats in the current economic climate, and 78 percent are more likely to choose a Web browser with built-in security than they were two years ago.

"Customers have made clear what they want in a Web browser -- safety, speed and greater ease of use," said Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. "With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match."

In response to extensive customer research and input from tens of millions of customer sessions, Microsoft developed Internet Explorer 8 to focus on what matters most to people. The security enhancements offer protection against existing and emerging security threats online. It blocks two to four times more malware attacks than other browsers; cuts down on the time it takes to complete common tasks on the Web such as searching, mapping and sharing, including navigating 15 of the 20 top worldwide sites; and blurs the lines between the services they use daily and the browser used to access the Internet.

Helps Protect People From Online Threats

The new study released today reinforces the importance of safety in browsing, indicating that 78 percent of people are more likely than they were two years ago to choose a browser that includes built-in protection against security threats without them having to go online to download additional programs or browser add-ons. It also showed that 91 percent of adults in the U.S. are concerned about online fraud and identity theft in today's economic climate, and 37 percent are less likely to shop online because they would have to give their personal information.

Internet Explorer 8 offers the best security protections among leading browsers: a study released today by NSS Labs indicates that Internet Explorer 8 blocks two to four times as many malicious sites as other browsers on the market today.

Makes Common Online Tasks Faster and Easier

In addition to offering improved security and privacy protections, Internet Explorer 8 is one of the fastest browsers on the market today, beating other top browsers in page load time on almost 50 percent of the 25 top comScore Inc. Web sites.* It also helps people save time while using the Web with easy-to-use new features, including the following:

  • Accelerators. Accelerators make it faster and easier to perform common tasks online by making Web-based services such as ESPN.com, Live Search and Sina available for use directly from the page people are viewing. Users can simply right-click a word or phrase and instantly map, e-mail, or share it.
  • Web Slices. Web Slices in Internet Explorer 8 makes favorite information from sites such as Digg, Yahoo! Mail, OneRiot, and eBay instantly available wherever someone goes on the Web.
  • Visual search suggestions. The Instant Search Box in Internet Explorer 8 enables rich, real-time search from sites such as The New York Times, Amazon.com and Wikipedia, as well as sites from people's own Favorites and History, complete with visuals and detailed information that saves time.

"We are excited about Internet Explorer 8 for several reasons, including its ability to provide our customers with updates to eBay products using Web Slices so they can keep track of their buying activity while surfing the web," said Matt Ackley, vice president of Internet Marketing and Advertising at eBay.

"The new ESPN Web Slices on Internet Explorer 8 make it easy for sports fans to check on the latest news and sports videos in a new and exciting way," said Jason Guenther, vice president of technology and product development at ESPN Digital Media. "We have a heritage of leveraging technology to deliver the best sports content to fans, and this is another example of our dedication to that."

Available for Download

Internet Explorer 8 will be available for download at noon EDT in 25 languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Traditional, Simplified and Hong Kong), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. More information and a download of Internet Explorer 8 (as of noon EDT on March 19) can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/ie8.

Microsoft will showcase the final browser and outline benefits and opportunities for a variety of audiences on March 19 at Microsoft's MIX09 conference for web designers and developers in Las Vegas.

Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential.

I mean seriously!!! Are we actually going backwards on the evolution scale? Come on, why we need Robot Supermodels that can catwalk like this one below?!
