P.S. After all this summer, the contenders of Movie of the Year fight very closely. It is really hard to choose the winner. But the choice is made, District 9 is the movie of the year. When I stepped out of the screenings of Star Trek, I said this is my movie of the year. But in the end of the summer, District 9 surprised me. It is one of the most original movie of the year in the year dominated by sequels, prequels and spin-offs. District 9 offered us emotions, story, character developments and entertainment all together. Star Trek and Up is not far behind though, these two are tied in No. 2 because Star Trek is the most entertaining movie of the year and Up is the best animation of the year. I didn't like Star Trek series, but after watching the new movie, I got sucked into the world of Star Trek. As for G.I. Joe and Transformers: ROTF, they didn't offer a compelling package for movie of the year, but they did offer entertainment and fun into it. Transformers could be a disappointment for movie goers who want a good story, but for people who are in for graphics and robots and hot chicks, this is the movie...
