Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It's Saturday and it still got school, the worst thing to happen in every student's daily life. But that doesn't stop me and three more friends to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at Queensbay Mall (due to the request by my best pal, or else I will watch it here, at BM). So, we were very excited to watch the movie and our excitement doubled when we're on the bridge, seeing Transformers billboard...
Here we come, Autobots!

After that, we stopped by Xin Chen's house, get some rest and showers... Looking out the view from his apartment lot.

Okay, friends. Check (fooling around in Xin Chen's room)

Tickets, Check
Clothes, Check

Then we went for lunch at McDonald's, quite full actually. Then we head to Transformers toy display, where we all saw the Transformers from Generation 1 to the present motion picture

The original Optimus Prime

The current motion picture design of Bumblebee (can talk punya)

Then we check out the latest video game of the latest movie of the same name on the PS3 system. It is also available on PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS... And here is the preview video:

We bought popcorn and drinks after that... And waited for it, again, again, and again. It seems ages...

Then the lights up and we when in quickly so that it won't be a rush and took a snap after taking seats....

It was a 2 and a half hours long movie, I think it is a very cool sequel... I said the storyline is predictable, but the CGI has taken a huge step forward and the graphics is captivating... Blow the whole cinema away... Full review coming soon and I hope I will get a HD quality DVD player soon for the DVD...

Michael Jackson - The King of Pop

I don't think I need to explain why I blog about this legend. Yes, that's right, Michael Jackson had passed away this morning Malaysian time. I was shocked when I listen to the radio this morning, but I never think of that and I think that must be a joke.

But few hours later after school, I entered my mom's car and my mom told me Michael had passed away. I couldn't believe the news and I started selecting every radio stations, all of them played MJ's song, Fly FM, Hitz.fm, Red FM, Lite FM, MIX FM... Everyone started calling in the stations requesting Michael's songs, from his Jackson Five days to his Invicible album, and leaving messages to pay tribute to this music legend. Even my physics questions did so...

His music have definately changed the music industry, like forever. If he was not in this industry, our lives will never be the same again. From all-time best selling album, Thriller, to the most controversial album in our time, HIStory, there's always got a lot of hits to let us remember him. With hits like Billie Jean, Beat It, Bad, Black or White, Thriller and so much more, have reflected the pop culture today. Trace today's songs' history and you find their roots are from MJ.

The dance moves he created during his onstage performance and music videos is the highlight of his career and his life. Most of today's dances are based on his original dance and altered it. With his famous moonwalking from the Motown Anniversary and his 45 degree tilt in Smooth Criminal, he is a legend of dancing too, makes every dancer a nobody...

He has big influences on Music Videos too. Before MJ was on his prime, the music videos were bland and features no meaning to the song. With MJ, the song are told through the music videos and making it look like the short film musical. Broadway announced before that they are bringing the 14 minutes long music video into a musical, and that is something special...

Even he was not in his prime, people still always mentions his name, even with the disappointing review of Invicible (his last full album), we still always like him, respect him and listen to his song. When he was in a lawsuit against him, everyone still supported him til the very end, ignoring the news.

To tribute to him, there will be no Lady Gaga's song on my blog and soon will replaced by Michael Jackson's for atleast a week. There will be updates for his performances on stage and on music video. It will be started with few songs below and a tribute video made by me (video blog)...

Thriller, I put this cuz embed is not available.

Terminator Salvation Review

How are you going to make a movie that has been viewed by critics as one of the best movie franchise ever? Well, you have to make it bigger and more exciting... But, the latest installment and reboot of The Terminator, Terminator Salvation just failed to do just that. It has a lot of thrill that the series used to have, but the story a bit seems lost in the process.

One of the major factor in the flop is James Cameron (the guy behind the previous Terminator trilogy) had no involvements in the process. One of his minor contributions is castings of the two lead actors, Christian Bale and Sam Worthington, whom he urged them audition for the role. It turns out to be a big save for the movie, which both of them played their role nicely. This show how good James Cameron is...

The biggest disappointment of the movie has to be the story, this installment lacks the plot to drive the movie. The story seems lost some time when you watching it, making you confused over the plot and feel a bit numb. When writing the story told by Kyle Reese and The Terminator T-800 during the first three movies, when story of AI robot took over, should be very very exciting, but the writers just failed to deliver it. One more complaint to the movie, John Connor (Christian Bale) didn't react to T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), when he (or it) stepping out of the production line, he met him (it) twice in two of the Terminator!!!

But a bit on the bright side, the action is still there, but the style has been altered to less carnage. This time it's like fighting each other between human and machines in war while the old trilogy aimed to create chasing and hiding fight sequence. The movie still making a lot of explosions, phew!

The chief designer of Salvation, Martin Laing is pretty good actually, he made all the machines a bit dirty and rusty compared to originals. The movie shows the story is always at war, so the machines can't always being clean and silver in colour. So the graphics and designs are pretty good.

Verdict: Terminator Salvation might not be as good as the old ones, but with the series so good, the next one can be good if they make some revisions, but not in this one... The movie got the actions, but lacks in story department.

2.8/5
