Change the way you drive, not the car

During my grandma's birthday, my uncle told my dad that the latest Proton Saga with fuel economy only 7.2km/L, according to newspaper complain (I think Christopher know what I mean), but according to actual figure is more than 10km/L and a lot more... Everyone in Malaysia auto industry all know Proton Saga is a fuel efficient car.

Than I suddenly think of Top Gear, where the host, Jeremy Clarkson said Toyota Prius (hybrid) is not as fuel efficient as we all think. So, he put Toyota Prius in front with full acceleration and then with a BMW M3 Sedan (Sports car in short) follow the speed of the Prius, which the M3 doesn't need full acceleration. After doing 10 laps, they calculated the numbers. In the end, the Prius consumed more fuel than the powerful M3.

So the lesson, change the way you drive, not the car you drive. You want more? Here's the video to proof:

Modern Warfare 2 announced and teased

Well, one of my favourite game franchise, Call of Duty, it's back. This time they drop the Call of Duty name... I think have to get this late though, cuz SPM... The teaser trailer it's quite cool, even though it doesn't show the actual game. See the video after this:

Support Earth Hour

Our lovely planet Earth is in a very damaging state right now. The cause? Human Race, ever since the Industrial Revolution, most of our machinery, electricity and development produce Carbon Dioxide that pollutes our environment. This also blocks the heat being reflected out of the atmosphere and the world is heating up now (global warming), this melted ice from both poles and sea level keep rising.

This Saturday, March 28, please switch off everything light, every electricity in your house for 1 hour. To send a message to everyone that Earth is precious. Besides, turning off these stuffs for 1 hour together reduce a lot of carbon dioxide emission...

SUPPORT EARTH HOUR!!!!

REDMOND, Wash., March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today Microsoft Corp. announced the availability of Windows Internet Explorer 8, the new Web browser that offers the best solution for how people use the Web today. It can be downloaded in 25 languages at http://www.microsoft.com/ie8 starting at noon EDT on March 19. Internet Explorer 8 is easier to use, faster and offers leading-edge security features in direct response to people's increasing concerns about online safety. A new study commissioned by Microsoft and the National Cyber Security Alliance and conducted by Harris Interactive Inc. shows that 91 percent of adults in the U.S. are concerned about online threats in the current economic climate, and 78 percent are more likely to choose a Web browser with built-in security than they were two years ago.

"Customers have made clear what they want in a Web browser -- safety, speed and greater ease of use," said Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. "With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match."

In response to extensive customer research and input from tens of millions of customer sessions, Microsoft developed Internet Explorer 8 to focus on what matters most to people. The security enhancements offer protection against existing and emerging security threats online. It blocks two to four times more malware attacks than other browsers; cuts down on the time it takes to complete common tasks on the Web such as searching, mapping and sharing, including navigating 15 of the 20 top worldwide sites; and blurs the lines between the services they use daily and the browser used to access the Internet.

Helps Protect People From Online Threats

The new study released today reinforces the importance of safety in browsing, indicating that 78 percent of people are more likely than they were two years ago to choose a browser that includes built-in protection against security threats without them having to go online to download additional programs or browser add-ons. It also showed that 91 percent of adults in the U.S. are concerned about online fraud and identity theft in today's economic climate, and 37 percent are less likely to shop online because they would have to give their personal information.

Internet Explorer 8 offers the best security protections among leading browsers: a study released today by NSS Labs indicates that Internet Explorer 8 blocks two to four times as many malicious sites as other browsers on the market today.

Makes Common Online Tasks Faster and Easier

In addition to offering improved security and privacy protections, Internet Explorer 8 is one of the fastest browsers on the market today, beating other top browsers in page load time on almost 50 percent of the 25 top comScore Inc. Web sites.* It also helps people save time while using the Web with easy-to-use new features, including the following:

  • Accelerators. Accelerators make it faster and easier to perform common tasks online by making Web-based services such as ESPN.com, Live Search and Sina available for use directly from the page people are viewing. Users can simply right-click a word or phrase and instantly map, e-mail, or share it.
  • Web Slices. Web Slices in Internet Explorer 8 makes favorite information from sites such as Digg, Yahoo! Mail, OneRiot, and eBay instantly available wherever someone goes on the Web.
  • Visual search suggestions. The Instant Search Box in Internet Explorer 8 enables rich, real-time search from sites such as The New York Times, Amazon.com and Wikipedia, as well as sites from people's own Favorites and History, complete with visuals and detailed information that saves time.

"We are excited about Internet Explorer 8 for several reasons, including its ability to provide our customers with updates to eBay products using Web Slices so they can keep track of their buying activity while surfing the web," said Matt Ackley, vice president of Internet Marketing and Advertising at eBay.

"The new ESPN Web Slices on Internet Explorer 8 make it easy for sports fans to check on the latest news and sports videos in a new and exciting way," said Jason Guenther, vice president of technology and product development at ESPN Digital Media. "We have a heritage of leveraging technology to deliver the best sports content to fans, and this is another example of our dedication to that."

Available for Download

Internet Explorer 8 will be available for download at noon EDT in 25 languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Traditional, Simplified and Hong Kong), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Polish, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. More information and a download of Internet Explorer 8 (as of noon EDT on March 19) can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/ie8.

Microsoft will showcase the final browser and outline benefits and opportunities for a variety of audiences on March 19 at Microsoft's MIX09 conference for web designers and developers in Las Vegas.

Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential.

Are we going backwards on the evolution scale?

I mean seriously!!! Are we actually going backwards on the evolution scale? Come on, why we need Robot Supermodels that can catwalk like this one below?!

I know this is a technology achievement, but we (humans) can still do a catwalk during a fashion show. And still, do these robots look interesting, sexy and cute to you?!?! Think again!!! We still have a lot of beautiful women and good looking men in the whole wide world.

And one more crazy stuff happened during the press conference for this robot's introduction: The robot model already been harassed by the Japanese media and visitors to the press conference. WHAT THE F***?!?!?!?!

PC Burnout Paradise review

Who says things can't be perfect? You can't say like this, you must say it's hard to be perfect. EA brings a perfect game, Burnout Paradise, a game from a series that defines my nickname (look older post).

This car won't be this nice for long

This is a game that change the way we play racing game. This game have very realistic graphics, open world, realistic crashes... and more. When you open the game, you're greeted by Guns N' Roses' Paradise City (which gets boring overtime though). Once you log in your account, you will be impressed by the scenery.

Told ya so...

The game have quite a lot of modes, it contains Race, Road Rage (taking as much rival as you can), Burning Route (Time Attack with specific car), Stunt Run, Marked Man (arrive destination without been destroyed by rivals) and Showtime (crash the whole streets). Each event offers different kinds of excitement, this is essential to the game to keep the players playing the game. It contain many different kinds of cars for you to choose from, start from Speed, which just go fast and agile while didn't care about the strength of the car. Aggression, don't care about speed and agility, just want to take people down with it's force. The Stunt car is in the middle, fast and strong to do stunts around.

This driver is dead by now. That's why we only dare to do it in virtual world.

It might be weird to have no specific route to reach your finish line, but after you get used to it, it is actually quite nice to play. With hidden packages like shortcuts, big ramps, billboards and more to find, completing all races doesn't mean its over, you have to find them all in order to complete.

It got online races and open world, been taken out or take them down is fun and making rivalry. and now with every streets have its name, time records, crash records, beating your friends in the streets is just like the icing on the cake. After take them down, we will get the photo of their reactions if they have webcam and vice versa if you been taken out.

Burnout Paradise PC version is a must have for PC gamer if you misses out PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game. It also contains all the downloadable contents previously release on Xbox 360 and PS3 Networking, so make it a very good game to buy.

Verdict: 5/5

Blog record high!!!

Yesterday, after I post complaint about American Idol contestant, Tatiana Nicole Del Toro.
My blog visitors went up to record high since the creation of the histats.com tracker, with 35 visitors...

If you properly at the image below, my daily visitors for the past 30 days, mostly. Because I created the tracker not long ago, the tracking is not so complete yet. At the end of the image is the peak of vistors (yesterday), with 35 (RECORD!!!)

And when I click the date, it shows the number of visitors on the hour. The best is 9th hour...

So, I think is a nice day for a record
